Harper, Madison receiving votes in preseason NJCAA DIII Poll

The top two teams in the North Central Community College Conference in 2016 will open the 2017 season with some national recognition. Harper College and Madison College are both receiving votes in the Preseason NJCAA Division III Poll released earlier this week.

The WolfPack won the N4C title for the first time in program history last fall, posting an 8-1-1 record and finishing a game better than the Hawks at 7-2-1. Madison College won the team's first meeting in Wisconsin by a 3-2 tally before finishing in a 0-0 draw in Palatine, Illinois. A third meeting in the Region IV Championship went the way of Harper College, 3-1.

Madison begins the 2017 on Tuesday, August 22 with a home game against Malcolm X College. The game will mark the team's first at their completely renovated facility, the Irwin A. & Robert D. Goodman Pitch-East. Harper will also take the pitch for the first time that night, doing so on the road at Waubonsee Community College. Their first head-to-head meeting will be September 13 in Madison.
