For the fourth consecutive year - all of which also ended with national championships - the Rock Valley College softball team can claim the 2017 Dudley® NJCAA Division III Softball Pitcher of the Year after Kelsie Packard was given the honor earlier this week. The honor comes days after Packard was named a NJCAA DIII First Team All-American.

The sophomore righthander posted a perfect 23-0 record and led the nation in strikeouts with 209. Packard, a Beloit, Wisconsin, native, finished with a 1.29 earned run average, second best in the nation, and limited opposing hitters to a .135 average.

Packard has committed to continue her volleyball career at NCAA Division I Valparaiso University in the fall. She will also compete for the NJCAA softball national team in the Canadian Open Fastpitch International Competition next month in Surrey, British Columbia.
