For the second time this season, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named Madison College's Megan Corcoran as the Division III Player of the Week for December 19 through January 7 (Week 8). The sophomore earned the same award following the first week of the season, and is the only WolfPack player to be recognized during the 2017-18 campaign.

Corcoran scored exactly 28 points in back-to-back games for the WolfPack as they opened North Central Community College Conference play with a 2-0 record. The Madison, Wisconsin, native was extremely efficient during the two wins, making 20 of 40 (50.0%) field goal attempts and converting 12 of 14 (85.7%) free throws. Corcoran was 12 for 21 with a three-pointer and 3 of 4 at the charity stripe in a 79-54 win at Triton College, and followed it up with an 8 for 19 effort with three 3-pointers and an impressive 9 for 10 performance at the free throw line. In addition, the 5'10" guard/forward had 13 rebounds, four assists, four steals, and three blocks in the two games.

Madison College (10-5) has won seven straight games and is ranked #8 in the latest NJCAA Division III Poll.
