Rock Valley wins fifth NJCAA Men's Bowling national championship

LANSING, MICH. - Rock Valley College rolled to its fifth national title at the 2026 NJCAA Men's Bowling Championship, and were led by a pair of NJCAA All-American recipients. The Golden Eagles amassed 13,910 pins to hold off national runner-up Iowa Western Community College by 350 pins. Five RVC bowlers placed in the top 13 of the All Event Standings, with Ryan Voyles and Clark Bonnewell leading the way with NJCAA All-American accolades for finishing in the top eight. The College of Lake County placed tenth overall (12,596) and Kishwaukee College (12,243) was 15th. (Recaps: NJCAA | Rock Valley)

Rock Valley College, which also won national titles in 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024, entered the event as the top-ranked team in the nation and led by more than 400 pins over Barton Community College following doubles and singles competitions. Despite a late surge by Iowa Western, the Golden Eagles maintained a manageable cushion en route to earning the crown.

Voyles, a freshman from Sycamore, Illinois, paced RVC with 2,529 pins and a 210.8 average to place fourth individually. Bonnewell, a first year from Dixon, Illinois, was sixth overall after racking up a 206.7 average with 2,480 pins. Aiden Watts was tenth, followed by Charlie Hunt in 11th and Austin Cetwinski in 13th. Lee McClellan of Lake County was 19th overall.

The 2026 NJCAA Women's Bowling Championships also had great representation from Region 4, with the College of Lake County finishing 13th with 7,953 pins and Rock Valley College was 15th with 3,984 pins. Barton Community College took the team title with 12,025 pins. Individually, the top Region 4 bowler was Cassidy Vincent of RVC in 17th place.
