Prairie State dominates Region 4 Tournament, secures three-peat championship
PARK FOREST, ILL. - Prairie State College ran away from the competition to win their third straight - and ninth overall - Region 4 Division I Men's Tennis Tournament title on April 26. The Pioneers finished with 27 points, a full dozen points ahead of second place College of Lake County with 15 points. McHenry County College was third with seven points. 2025 Region 4 Division I Men's Tennis Tournament Final Results
Prairie State College swept all six singles flights, as well as all three doubles flights. Riveros claimed the #1 Singles title before partnering with #4 Single winner Sandro Giangregorio to win the #1 Doubles flight. Flight #2 Singles champ Yoog Gundani and #5 Singles winner Ben Lawrie also finished atop #2 Doubles. Tendai Chihowa, who won the #3 Singles, and Henry Torres, the #6 Singles winner, combined to complete the PSC domination with the #3 Doubles title.
The Pioneers advance to the 2025 NJCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships in Florence, South Carolina, from May 12-16.
