Joliet sweeps DuPage for first Region 4 title
JOLIET, ILL. - Joliet Junior College secured its first Region 4 Division III Softball Tournament championship with a two-game sweep of a best-of-three series against the College of DuPage. The Wolves victories of 13-3 and 6-4 secured a trip to the district tournament, and earned Emily Marino the Region 4 Coach of the Year award. (Recap: Joliet)
In the opener, JJC quickly overcame a 2-0 deficit with six-run bottom of the first inning, and followed it up with four more runs in the second, two in the third, and another in the fourth before claiming the run-ruled victory in five innings. Lauren Pell had three hits and two RBI, while Arianna Jentel limited the Chaparrals to three runs and nine hits over five innings to get the win.
In game two, COD owned a 4-1 lead through five-and-a-half innings when Joliet Junior College exploded for five runs to earn the victory by two runs. Pell again led the way with three more hits, two RBI, and a run scored. The trio of Alaina Moreno, Skyler Welcome, and Jentel pitched the Wolves to victory.

WAHPETON, ND - Joliet Junior College hit the road for the NJCAA North Plains B District Tournament, where they met North Dakota State College of Science. NDSCS, ranked #1 in the NJCAA Division III Poll, ended the Wolves season with wins of 11-3 in six innings and 6-4 to claim the best-of-three series.
Joliet Junior College ended the 2025 campaign with a 28-26 record.
