DuPage wins first NJCAA Championship in Region 4 heavy tournament
CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. & TUSCALOOSA, ALA. - Region 4 dominated the 2026 NJCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships at Chautauqua Golf Club from June 2-5, with the College of DuPage coming through with its first national championship win. Rock Valley College was second, led by individual national champion Amelia Dunseth, and Joliet Junior College was third. DuPage led from start to finish in western New York, opening the 72-hole event with a 350 team score and a 26-shot lead. The Chaparrals went on to turn in team totals of 364-351-355 to post a 1,420 (+268) final score. Isabella Krosse was tops for COD with a third place finish at 328 (+40) after scores of 84-82-79-83 to earn NJCAA First Team All-American. Teammates Aubreye Hyatt and Maryssa Zielinski also received All-American accolades as they finished fifth and sixth, respectively. Hyatt shot 339 (+51/84-90-84-81), while Zielinski signed off on a 340 (+52/83-86-87-84). Marie Bedford was the fourth counted score for the Chaps at 414 (+126/99-107-101-107) for a tie of 22nd with RVC's Maya Johnson. Katelyn Fricano followed with a 25th place finish at 425 (+137/100-106-107-112). Coach Jason Hyatt was presented the Championship Coach of the Tournament award.

Dunseth followed her Region 4 championship up with a six-shot victory as she sat atop the leaderboard with a 309 (+21). After trailing by three with an opening round 82, the freshman pulled even with a four-over-par 76 on Wednesday. Dunseth pulled away from the field with a Round 3 one-under-par 71 before capping her week with an 80 to win by six strokes and earn NJCAA First Team All-American. The Golden Eagles also counted a 376 (+88/96-96-93-91) from Sophia Cross in tenth place, a 381 (+93/97-96-98-90) in a 13th place finish for Gina Baker. Aaralyn Schneider was 16th with a 391 (+103/101-95-99-96). Rock Valley College was also awarded the Championship Sportsmanship Award.
Joliet Junior College placed four golfers in the top 15, with Sarah Mills placing seventh with a 351 (+63/88-91-90-82) and Adrianna Cottrell right behind in eighth at 366 (+78/97-91-86-92). Alexis Hora shot 377 (+89/93-92-94-98) and Grayce Featherston posted a 384 (+96/92-108-90-94) to take 11th and 14th, respectively.
2026 NJCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships Final Results
The Division II event in Alabama resulted in a 14th place for Carl Sandburg College with a 1,527 (+375). The Chargers turned in team scores of 380-384-386-377 throughout the four rounds, and were led by Jessica Schultz in 59th place with a 372 (+84/93-92-95-92). Shelton State Community College won the team title with a 1,273 (+121) and Mallory Brooks of Wallace State Community College won the individual champion in a playoff after a 304 (+16).
