ROCHESTER, MINN. - The Joliet Junior College women's soccer team went 12-3-1 during the regular season, and as the lone Division III program in Region 4, represented the region at the NJCAA Midwest District Tournament. The Wolves went 1-1 as their season came to an end against the eventual national champions.

Joliet opened the tournament against host Rochester Community & Technical College from Region 13, and wasted little time seizing control of the match. The Wolves tallied a 4' goal from Julissa Calderon, and late in the first half made it a 3-0 lead when Hannah Moss scored in the 36' and Abby Hermanson did the same in the 43'. The 5-0 win was capped by second half goals from Victoria Davila in the 76' and Skylar Sparks in the 83'. Goalkeepers Doria Quintana, Mikayla Adrieansen, and Brianna Meiley combined to earn the shutout.

The victory advanced JJC into the championship game against defending national champion and top-ranked Delta College. The Pioneers took a 2-0 lead in the opening half; however, the Wolves closed the gap to one in the 55' when Victoria Davila netted an unassisted goal. Seven minutes later, Delta College regained the two-goal advantage and hung for a 3-1 decision.

Joliet Junior College finishes the season with a 13-4-1 record.
